Clay and Air Rifle Tuition 

Even the most experienced shooter can benefit from a lesson. Our qaulified instructors will assess each shooter, offer help and advice to correct any bad habits which may have been picked up over the years, including bad stance, gun mount, eye dominance, or simply hitting problem targets successfully. Our instructors can also help with those wanting to become involved in game shooting and its etiquette and to brush up on their skills for the game season.

Lessons may be booked six days a week (we are closed on Mondays) and we recommend booking well in advance if you are limited in the times that you are free.

Our instructors are either CPSA or BASC qualified and have enhanced DBS clearance.

Introduction to Clay Shooting

Every session starts with a full safety briefing, followed by practical guidance on stance, correct gun mounting, eye dominance, and responsible, safe gun handling. All equipment is included: suitable shotgun, ear defenders, eye protection, cartridges and clay targets — you just need weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.

25 Clay Target Shooting Sessions

You are welcome to book these as a one-off "have a go" taster if you just want to try clay shooting for fun. If you wish to learn properly and progress further, they also work as a structured 3-stage course:

• Each session lasts around 1 hour, with expert guidance from our qualified instructors.

• You will learn core skills step-by-step, putting them into practice with 25 clay targets per session.

• If you choose to follow the full progression path, sessions must be completed in sequence: each build on the last, introduces new target types and reinforces safe practice.

• Once you have finished all 3 introduction sessions, and your instructor confirms you are competent and safe, we will issue you a safety card. This allows you to return and shoot on our ranges when supervised by a member of our Ground Staff team.

50 Clay Target "Have a Go" Experiences

These are standalone, fun taster sessions — ideal for couples, special occasions or anyone wanting more targets in a single visit:

• Includes safety briefing, basic guidance, 50 clay targets and all equipment provided.

• Important: This session does not count towards the 3-session progression path and cannot be used to gain your safety card. If you decide you would like to take up clay shooting further, you will still need to complete the full 3 structured introduction sessions to receive your safety card.

Introduction to Air Rifle Shooting 

Is approximately one hour long and starts with a safety brief, followed by shooting on one of our covered ranges.

The key elements of shooting techniques as well as the all-important safe handling of the gun, will be covered.

All the equipment that you will need, such as suitable gun etc is provided. Please note these lessons take place outdoors, so wear suitable footwear and come dressed for the weather.

Shooters often benefit from a lesson if they wish to refresh or improve their shooting skills, or maybe a little practice in preparation for the competition season. Our experienced instructors are able to assess each shooter and then offer help and advice to correct any bad habits which may have been picked up. All aspects of your shooting style is assessed and advice given to your chosen disciline.

Lessons run on Saturdays and Sundays and we recommend booking well in advance if you are limited in the times that you are free.
